Of Mice and Men essay:)

Basically in the book "Of mice and men" it's two men trying to work to survive. One of the men 'Lennie' not bright, and the other man 'George' is the one who looks out for Lennie, to make sure he stays out of trouble. In John steinbeck's speech, he tells about how he use's good literature. In John steinbeck's book "Of mice and men" shows characters adn situations that involve good literature, discribing them.
As John steinbeck is wrighting this book he is using literature to discribe characters, like George and Lennie. Such as this "Both were dressed in denim trousers and in denim coats with brass buttons. Both wore black, shapeless hats and both carried tight blacket rolls slung over their sholders."Then he starts just discribing George, "the first man was small and quick, dark of face, with restless eyes and sharp, storng features. Every part of him was defined: small, strong hands, slender arms, a thin and bony nose." Then he goes on discribing Lennie, "Behind him walked his opposite, a huge man, sharpless of face, with large pale eyes, with wide, sloping shoulders; and he walked heavily, dragging his feet a little, the way a bar drags his paws. His arms did not swing at his sides, but hung loosely."
Also in the book John steinbeck is talking about situations that have good litature in them. Such as, "we just come in, said George. Let the big guy talk. Lennis twisted with embarrassment. George said, s'pose he don't want to talk? curley lashed his body around. By christ he's gotta talk when he's spoke to. What the hell are you gettin' into it for?" The situatuon between Curley, George, and Lennie shows what kind of good liturature John steinbeck is using.
"Of mice and men" shows to society examples of good hero's. The time period for this book is perfect. This book made me want to read more books that John steinbeck has wrote.
